Festival season begins. The music festival includes country cows, punk cows and hard rock cows. Each player has turkeys to spend, and tries to put together as many fans of the same style of music as possible, in sets of three.
Once a player manages to form musical triplets, there is one left somewhere that is not part of the triplets. If you’re not careful, this “black sheep” of the family can give you minus points at the end of the game. However, if you play it smart, the black sheep actually gives you extra festival tokens which you can use to bring in other triplets. The copycat poses as a cow, and can complete triplets. However, that does give extra risk of black sheep….
You’re Bluffing Festival is a new variation of the time-honored Kuhhandel (You’re Bluffing). The game is more tactical and faster than the original Kuhhandel. Players have their own set of animals to auction off, and have to think about cattle trading early on, because those who don’t trade in time run the risk of getting stuck with black sheep.
For Kuhhandel Festival (You’re Bluffing), Ravensburger approached a number of international authors to submit their ideas. After a year-long selection process, the selection was narrowed down to three ideas, and again six months later, my concept was chosen.
